Look Book Jewelry Collaborators

Flux is a collection that embraces wearability, versatility, and flexibility. While the items pair well together, they are also intended to be mixed and matched within the wearer's wardrobe and act as the perfect backdrop for accessories. I styled the look book with this in mind, and was thrilled to team with up two local jewelers, Katie Dean Jewelry and Emma Holland Denvir. Katie's dainty gold necklaces and hand pieces in combination with Emma's chunky, wood bracelets and rings were the perfect finishing touches to the looks, and really embraced the easy-to-wear nature of Flux. You can find links to their websites below, and view the collection here.

Announcing Melissa Fleis x Hotel Zephyr SF

I'm so excited to finally announce why I have been making so many trips back and forth to San Francisco this year!

One of my biggest projects yet to date - designing uniforms for the entire hotel staff at the new boutique hotel in Fisherman's Wharf, Hotel Zephyr. There's so much incredible design in this one hotel, and I'm incredibly honored to be a part of it.

For more information, click here. And be sure to follow on Instagram for more images of the uniform design!

Melissa Fleis x Betabrand

Melissa Fleis is teaming up with Betabrand and we need your votes!

"The All Day Coat is the perfect balance of style, weight, and mobility in mild to colder climates. Unlined, this coat can be used as an outer layering piece -- wear it with the Shredded Top or your favorite “go to” sweater. Its high collar can be worn close to the neck, folded down, or can even frame your favorite scarf. The asymmetrical cut helps you climb stairs in a hurry and easily get in and out of cars. Use the added hood when the weather isn’t cooperating for an uncompromising, cool, and versatile look."

We want to see all you ladies in this coat in the near future so make sure you VOTE so it can be put into production, and please comment with your thoughts! Do you have any changes to suggest or fabrics you would like to have it made in? Let us know!

To vote: Simply click here, then find the big vote button on the top right and comment at the bottom. Thanks for your continued support!

Stay stylish,
Melissa Fleis

I am excited to announce that my latest collection, Flux, will be available in stores and online soon! This collection is about transition, which is what the name "Flux" represents. Not only are the pieces transitional themselves, it was also designed during a transitional time in my life. Because of my move from San Francisco to Los Angeles, I was forced to reflect on my wardrobe: which pieces I wear regularly and which items I consider to be statement pieces. The Flux Collection represents these two elements and a shift toward a "lifestyle" feel in my designs. Along with fundamental pieces that can be worn on a day-to-day basis, Flux also includes stand-out pieces in bold colors for specific occasions. With this collection, I am embracing our casual society and introducing vibrant hues, creating timeless pieces, but with elements of surprise.

The above image by Cliff Briggie was my primary inspiration for the color scheme of this collection. I am so eager to share Flux with you! Stay tuned for more updates, and follow me on Instagram for previews.
